Gerry Lynn Rossberg left us to join his beloved wife Laurie on the morning of September 17, 2026 at the age of 72. Gerry was born in Great Falls, Montana on 08/06/54 to Fritz and Aune Rossberg. Gerry grew up in Great Falls with his twin brother Randy and older brother Jim. From the very beginning, Gerry and his twin were a team and wherever the two of them went, there was usually some mischief, laughter, and a little bit of chaos close behind.  He especially loved fishing and riding the wave runner, (with his "Sam Elliott" mustache and Randy's long hair blowing in the wind), on Flathead lake. The two of them shared a lifetime of adventures and their relationship was filled with the kind of brotherly mischief that only twins can truly understand.
After graduating from CMR High School in 1972, he married Debbie Keller and they had three children, Jeremy, Shay, and Cejay. Gerry was a hardworking man who spent his life learning, working, and taking care of the people around him. He began his career as a baker before going on to work for a construction company. He later worked at the Montana State Prison where he taught inmates the art of baking. He took pride in his work. On August 11th of 1992 he married the love of his life, Laurie Sullivan and gained another daughter, Lizzie. The two of them shared 33 years together full of love, laughter, travel, and plenty of silly mishaps along the way. Gerry was incredibly proud of his wife and cherished the life they had built together. After Laurie's passing in 2025, Gerry often expressed how much he missed her and how much he wanted to be with her again. He loved Laurie deeply and his family finds comfort in knowing that they are together again.
Gerry was very proud of his children. He loved taking them on his wild adventures. Gerry was an adventurer at heart. He loved the water, swimming, rafting, boating, fishing, and spending time in the Montana outdoors. He was a self-taught swimmer and could spend hours in the water. Rafting with Gerry was rarely just a peaceful day on the river. It was an adventure, whether anyone had planned for one or not. Boats filled with water, holes were encountered, storms rolled in, and somehow there was always a story to tell afterwards. Those unexpected mishaps became some of his families most treasured memories. Some of Gerry's happiest memories were made on the boat surrounded by family and friends, with Jimmy Buffett playing in the background, time spent with his pool friends, and countless adventures with Laurie.
Gerry is preceded in death by his parents Fritz & Aune, brothers Jim & Randy and his wife Laurie.
Gerry is survived by his children; Jeremy (Dawne) Rossberg, Shay (Emily) Rossberg, and Cejay (Eric) Paulsen, Lizzie (Carolyn) Munday, grandchildren; Bryce, Tyson, Ryleigh, Jessyca, Heather, Chandra, Monnyca, Melissa, Banyan & Rustyn, sisters-in-law Cathy Rossberg, great grandchildren, niece and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday September 24, 2026 at Dugan Dolan Mortuary chapel at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will be a lunch reception, following the service, at the McQueen Athletic club for those who would like to visit and tell stories.
