Frida Marie Decker passed away on December 29, 2023 in Sheridan, Montana.  On May 16, 1928, John and Anna Wehmhamer Neville welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Frida Marie.  Mom grew up and went to school in Phoenix, Arizona, where she met and married James King.  They had three boys: David, James, and Carl, before moving to Montana.  In 1951, Dad, Mom, Granny, and the three young boys moved to Twin Bridges, Montana.  Their son, Johnny, joined them there.  They later moved to Sheridan, where Dad opened his garage.  Mom worked as the bookkeeper for Dad and was a bartender at the Stockman Bar.  While in Sheridan, Steve Baril joined the family, giving Mom five boys of which to keep track.  There were never too many kids in her house.  Mom and Dad divorced, and Mom later moved to Alder.

In Alder, Mom met Bob Decker, and they married in July of 1981.  This added six more kids to her family.  They had 42 years of great adventures, dancing, traveling, four-wheeling, bowling (Mom was a great bowler.), and playing Pinochle.

She was proceeded in death by her father and mother "Granny", her brother, David, and her former husband, James King.  Surviving are her sons, David (Linda Johnson) King, James (Arlin) King, Carl (Maureen) King, John (Jennifer) King, and Steve (Cindy) Baril; stepchildren; Robert (Jody) Decker, Linda (Joe) Nottingham, Ron (Cindy) Decker, Roger (Sara) Decker, Brenda (Curt) Green, and Martha (Ty) Cummings.  Mom kept track of 37 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren, and 18 great great-grandchildren, and let us know when a new one arrived.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 3:30 PM.  A further celebration of Frida's life will follow at the Sheridan Senior Center.
