Freddy Booth passed away Tuesday October 10th,2023 at his home in Butte with his loving family by his side. Fred was born on August 24th,1947 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Dale and Betty Booth. He attended local schools in Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne High School.

Freddy was a multi faceted athlete excelling in many sports. He was an All State Track star excelling in longer sprint races. One of his favorite sports was baseball, which he continued to play throughout his whole life.

Freddy moved to Butte, Montana where he met Darlene Lean, they were married on October 4, 1968 and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Freddy worked in the food sales industry for the majority of his working life, traveling all across the northwest. Throughout his life he met many people from all walks of life, and true to his demeanor he never forgot a single person and would often share stories about his travels with family and friends.

For most of his adult life Freddy was a mainstay in the Butte Softball circle. He played for many years and enjoyed representing Butte in many a softball tournament throughout the state.

Freddy was one of the few avid Cincinnati Bengal and Detroit Tiger fans, never faltering in his loyalty to both teams. Later in life he became the Manager of the Oasis Restaurant and Casino, where you could always find him behind the bar or walking the floor telling his stories to his customers. He always remembered what teams his customers rooted for and would always be willing to make a wager with anyone who rooted against one of his teams. Freddy served his customers with class and always with a smile and a story. Freddy also made many memorable radio ads for the Oasis and won an award for the different characters he created.

Freddys love for his children and grandchildren was a known fact to anyone who knew him. He attended anything and everything they were involved in. Freddy spent many days with his grandchildren taking them on "adventures" to the golden trees. He had a special bond with each and every one of them.

Freddys love of music was as great as his love for sports. He was a huge Beatles fan (John Lennon his favorite) and could pretty much tell you anything you wanted to know about the group. His knowledge of music was astounding and he enjoyed making mix tapes for his family and friends, putting special songs for the person he was making it for.

He is survived by his wife Darlene, daughter Christy, son Jason (Shelly), and daughter Carrie Anne (Billy). Grandchildren: Tessa (Andy) Arntson, Tyler Daum, Andrew Booth, Dominck Haney, Noah and Bradyn Sage, Dakota Talkington. Great-Grandchildren: Alaiya, Maxton, and Andi Arntson. Sister Carolyn (Bret) Parker. Sister-in-law (and closest friend) Rosealie Riley. Brother-in-law George Niemi and Gary (Dala) Lean. Freddy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews with Tiffany(Mike) Ott being a special mention. He is also survived by numerous cherished friends and customers he met and served over the years.

Freddy was preceded in death by his father Dale Booth, mother Betty Carlson, step-father Vern Carlson and brother Jimmy Lacock.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Freddy's life will be held at Duggan Dolan Mortuary Saturday October 21st, 2023 at 1:00p.m. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus (KC) Hall.
