Frank Ronald Primozic

Mr. Frank Ronald "Ron' Primozic passed away on Wednesday, December 01, 2021 at Beehive Assisted Living of Butte. Frank was born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania on July 01, 1933, the son of Viola (Lapitsky) and Frank Primozic, Sr.

Frank was raised in Curtisville, Pennsylvania and attended West Deer High School. After graduating he enrolled at Penn State University, from where he received a Bachelor's Degree of Forestry in 1956. After college, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy. He completed Flight School training at Pensacola, Florida in 1957. On completion of his tour of duty in the Navy, Frank chose not to re-enlist, but rather to begin his lifelong career with the United States Forest Service

In 1959 Frank started his career with the Forest Service in Oregon. There, he met his wife, LaRue Ann Turner. Eventually the couple moved to Montana, and in 1969 Frank became the District Ranger in Wise River. They were blessed with two sons. They later separated.   In 1979, Frank was assigned as District Ranger in White Sulfur Springs. He retired in 1984 and moved back to his beloved Big Hole Valley.

An avid outdoorsman, Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was always at home in Big Sky Country. When not living the life of a sportsman, he kept active by cutting wood. Harkening back to his days as a pilot in the Navy, Frank also enjoyed flying his Piper airplane. When the seasons brought him indoors, he loved to settle back and enjoy reading. In true Montana fashion, Frank was a good neighbor and was friendly to any stranger who passed by his home at Jerry Creek.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Redinger; his sons and daughter-in-law, Frank Primozic, and John and Debbie Primozic; and his grandchildren, Isaiah, Damaris, and Joseph Primozic.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Duggan Dolan Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
