Son, Brother, Husband, Father, and Friend, Frank "Biggs" Jovick passed away on August 20, 2020. With "More things to finish" he sadly passed peacefully due to heart failure with daughter Julie by his side, holding his hand.

Frank was born on February 9, 1936 to Martin Jovick and Rose (Pajnich) Jovick in Butte, MT. Biggs proudly proclaimed himself as a "McQueener" growing up on Oak Street; which that in itself still does not describe h On August 20th, 2020 how tough, strong, stubborn, yet kind and caring of a man he was. He attended Holy Savior School.

Biggs served in the US Army Reserve and because of a heart murmur, caused by rheumatic fever as a young boy, he was unable to serve active duty. Rheumatic fever is also how he earned his nickname "Biggs"; he had a huge growth spurt while bedridden for nearly a year during his illness and upon returning outside to see his friends, they exclaimed "you grew big!" and the nickname "Biggs" stayed with him throughout his lifetime.

Over the years many stories of the Simon Ranch where told and it is there where he met his lifelong friend Jim Daily. Otto & Elsie Simon had asked Biggs to go to the bus stop to pick up Ray Watson and another lifelong friendship ensued. This group had quite the friendship, adventures, and never a shortage of laughs and fun together with their wives and families for many years.

McQueen brought beginnings as a bartender at the McQueen Club at a young age. Biggs was a a lifetime member, and the contractor of the current location. He served as President at the age of 18 and held numerous elected positions over the years.

His lifelong carpentry career almost didn't happen; He started in high school with an apprenticeship at Sundberg plumbing where he quickly discovered plumbing was not for him. From there he began his carpentry apprenticeship at the Clevland School, and this is where he met another life long friend Ed Zemljak. Biggs went to work at Butte Sash and Door Company before venturing out on his own with the start up of Jovick Construction Inc.

Biggs went from bachelor to father rather quickly when he married Fran and became step father to Daniel, Gerald, and Thomas McDonald before the addition of "the twins" Julie and Joseph Jovick.

Biggs was a meticulous, inventive, and practical builder, always thinking of the best way to utilize space and materials, he was extremely talented. He finished his carpentry career at MT Tech, before his retirement. He stated that it was the best job of his life being able to leave work at work with no more evenings spent looking at jobs and preparing bids.

He was hard working man his entire life and that continued into his retirement. He enjoyed becoming a farmer at Ramsey, MT where he resided with his companion Charlene Tamietti. He set his mind to improve the property and was continuously working on a project, his garden, picking rocks, or tinkering with something.

Biggs was a competitive and excellent bowler, continuing to bowl up until COVID-19 restrictions prevented him from completing with the summer session. He bowled many years and had many impressive games, tournaments, and wins. He made lifelong friends from bowling and wherever he went. He enjoyed co-Ed volleyball for many years also.

An avid outdoorsman he loved hunting, fishing, camping, barbecues, and anything where he could hangout with his friends. From harvesting to processing whatever game, catch, or crop he may have grown or picked from the wild, nothing went unprocessed. His shop for many years was not just his place for his carpentry but a gathering place for all of his friends as they would spend many evenings processing game and perfecting their recipes. His crew also added tamales, pasties, sauerkraut, dry cure salami, sausages, jerky, smoked fish and turkey, you name it they have probably perfected a recipe for it.

Grandpa Biggs was a "hero" to his grandchildren Kaylee and Kaden Hafer, Samantha Sines and Jake Jovick; Megann Whitham, Kayla Bokma, and Patrick McDonald, J.P and Matt McDonald and Great grandchildren Kylar and Brently Bokma.

Not all inclusive survivors include his children and their families: Julie, Kaylee & Cody, and Kaden; Joe & Fonda, and Samantha & Tyler and Jake; Dan & Lori, Megann & Tate, Kayla, Patrick, Kylar, and Brently; Ger, J.P., and Matt; Tom & Mark. His companion Charlene Tamietti and her daughters Jamie Martin, Lori Clark, Susan Liebenguth, and their spouses and families; Sister Jeanie & Jim Blow and families and Dear Niece Robin Phillips.

Funeral Services will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 am in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
