Frances Elizabeth LaPier Rubusch was born on January 8, 1949, to Frances Dora LaPier. She was raised in Great Falls, Montana, on Hill 57 alongside her three sisters and brother. Frances often spoke of her childhood as a loving and wonderful place to grow up. While life brought its share of challenges, she always knew the strength and comfort of family love.

Throughout her life, Frances lived in several places, including San Francisco, California, where she moved with her mother and beloved stepfather, George McGinnis. George was a father to Frances in every way that mattered, providing love, support, and guidance throughout her life. She also enjoyed spending time in Salt Lake City, Utah, visiting her sisters and their families, who always welcomed her with open arms.

Family was at the center of Frances's life. She was the proud mother of Eric LaPier and Regina LaPier. In 1975, she married Gary Rubusch, and together they welcomed two sons, Marvin and Gary. Though their marriage later ended, Frances remained devoted to her children and family.
Frances worked many jobs throughout her life in Great Falls and Butte, Montana. One of her favorite positions was as a cook at the Freeway Bar in Butte. She loved serving others and cherished the friendships she built there, especially with the owner, Muzzy, and the many customers she came to know.

Frances had a vibrant spirit and truly knew how to enjoy life. She loved music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.  she embraced her life with confidence, energy, and joy. Whether she was dancing, laughing, telling stories, or gathering with loved ones, Frances brought life to every room she entered. She believed in making memories, celebrating life's moments, and finding reasons to smile.

Those who knew Frances will remember her as funny, kind, and beautiful both inside and out. She had a warm spirit, a caring heart, and a deep love for her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones and created lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

Frances was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Dora LaPier; her stepfather, George McGinnis; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Wayne Rodrigues, Betty and Vince Rodrigues, and Sandy and John Davis; her brother, Joseph Breeden LaPier; and her grandson, Jacob Craddock.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Eric (Heather) LaPier, Regina LaPier, Marvin Rubusch, and Gary (Karen) Rubusch.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Tyler (Emmett), Brock, Jordyn (Dane), RaBecca (Cody), Kobi, Madyson (Cayden), Jeremiah, Kaylee, Jessie (Foster), Hunter, George (Tess), Gary, Jade, Kayden, Kristopher, Michael, Austin, Riley, as well as great-grandchildren including Bodee, Elias, Mable, Zayphir, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Frances's legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply. Her laughter, kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be greatly missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family forever.

Friends may call on June 30, 2026 after 12:00 PM (Noon) in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel.  Funeral Services will be celebrated at 1:00 PM.
