Elsie G. Cortez passed away July 2 ^nd , 2020 in Butte. She was born in Worland,WY., on May 21 ^st . 1941, to Oliver and Marie Geist.

On May 21 ^st , 1976 she married Jim Cortez at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Elise worked as a child care provider for the YMCA.

Elsie enjoyed gardening, playing card and powwows and was active in St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband Jim Cortez; 4 children; Gail, Jack, Jerry and Raylene and a brother Roy Geist. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. A pot luck will be held in her honor at Clark's Park Saturday at 12 noon Clark's Park.
