Edith Lorraine Sloan (Munyon); 90 years old, entered into the presence of the Lord on October 20, 2025. Edith was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and always honored him in her life. Edith was born on December 10, 1934 in Gleasondale, MA to Carl and Ruth Munyon (Bemis). Edith attended an Adventist Christian School while growing up and learned to fly in airplanes when she was younger, working toward her pilot's licensure. Edith also learned to Scuba Dive and often spoke of her younger adventures to family. She played the piano and guitar as well as sang in a band, where she met her husband William Leonard Sloan. Edith was a devoted homemaker/wife and mother. Edith and William had 3 beautiful children together and 3 children before she met the love of her life. Edith and William were married around 50 years before he went to be with the Lord. Edith will be thoroughly missed as the Pillar of strength in our family. Edith is preceded in death by:
husband William Leonard Sloan; Carl and Ruth (Benson) Munyon, Kenneth Munyon (brother) and Evelynn Munyon (sister). Edith is survived by: Cynthia Harrington and Clyde Harrington (deceased), Beverly Sloan, William L. Sloan jr. (son), Ronnie Sarsfield, Craig Sarsfield, and Lorraine Sarsfield (daughter), Edith Brock (granddaughter), Clyde (Dawn) Harrington, Bonnie (Noah) Coffman, Leeroy (Stephanie) Harrington, and Clint (Dallas) Harrington, Scott (Susan) Sloan (nephew and niece) as well as numerous Great-grandchildren. Edith is now at peace in the arms of her Savior! Services will be held at: 2500 Grand Ave. Butte, MT on Sunday at 4:00pm; all are welcome!
