October 25, 1 934—January 3, 2025

Dorothy Jean Berg Hunt— Dorothy J. Hunt 90, passed away at the Crest Nursing Home on January 3, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 25, 1934 in Butte Montana. She was the youngest daughter of Edwin and Agnes Berg. Dorothy attended Emerson Elementary school and graduated from Butte High school in 1952. She was a member of the band and was selected to play in Oregon at the Rose Parade. Following high school, she attended a year at the Butte Business

College.

Dorothy married her one true love, Elroy Hunt, on April 27, 1 957. They had three children together; Jim, Laurie and Bob. Dorothy was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved her time working for Metals Bank, Monroe School and Margaret Leary where she retired as a Title 1 Aide. She was also an aide at the science lab and an active member of the Grandparents Program.  She loved working with the kids.

Dorothy enjoyed playing games, camping, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.  She was extremely smart, caring, compassionate, funny and not afraid to speak her mind. She loved her family more than anything in the world. Dorothy is preceeded in death by her parents, Edwin and Agnes Berg, husband Elroy Hunt, mother and father-in-law Mable and George Hunt, son Bob Hunt, son-in-law John Mondloch and other beloved family members.

Dorothy is survived by son Jim (Gayle} Hunt, daughter Laurie Mondloch, granddaughters Amber (Bryan, Axten, Brogan) Baldry and Ashlee (Tim, Sage, Sylee) Schmidt, grandson Nathan (Jessica, Johnny and soon to be baby girl) Mondloch, granddaughter Amanda (Dan, Carter, Asher, Koah) Schlichenmayer, grandson Marcus Hunt and Teaira Cook, sister Ellen Gillespie and multiple nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was the matriarch of the family who will be greatly missed.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Crest Nursing Home staff and Peggy Dean for their devoted care and compassion.

Please join us Saturday, January 11 , 2025 at Duggan Dolan for a celebration of life. Visitation will be held from 12-l pm. Services will start at 1 pm. Reception to immediately follow at the McQueen Club.
