Donald H. Hyndman, born January 6, 1960 in Butte to Thomas and Cora Hyndman, passed away April 19, 2025 at the age of 65, surrounded by family and friends.

Don attended school in Butte at Madison Elementary, East Middle School, and Butte High School. He married Debbie Budd of Anaconda in February 1982, and they had two sons, D.J. and Cory. They later divorced.

Don worked various jobs over his lifetime, including janitorial, automotive, handyman, maintenance, construction, and more. He was a "jack-of-all-trades" and had a broad range of knowledge in many different trades. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Walmart as a door greeter. He always greeted customers with a smile and often handed out candy to kids as they came to do their shopping.

His favorite pastime was fixing up cars and selling them. He always had a new project car that he was working on. He would help anyone who needed help, whether it be working on cars for them, or helping them with an issue with their house.

In the later years of his life, he embraced a path of deep personal growth, finding sobriety, and lived each day with clarity and purpose, enjoying the time he got to spend with his kids, grand-kids, family, and friends.

He is survived by his sons D.J. (Jessica) Hyndman of Butte, and Cory Hyndman of Butte, his grandchildren Brayten, Parker, Rosey Jo, and Makinze, his brothers Tom (Connie) Hyndman of Twin Bridges, Joe (Eileen) Hyndman of Great Falls, and Robert (Gayla) Hyndman of Butte, his sisters Mona Stokes of Dillon, Pam (Larry) Bragg of Butte, and Mary Halvorsen of Butte, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by close friends Jay Conway, Larry Hill, Bill Hill, and Tammy Hill.

Don was preceded in death by all of his maternal and paternal grandparents, his parents Thomas and Cora Hyndman, his brothers Bruce and John David, his sister and brother-in-law: Jane and Joe Weist, brother-in-law Joe Halvorsen Sr., and nieces Melissa and Josie May Halvorsen.

At Don's request, there will be no services, but there will be a Celebration of Life on July 19, 2025 at the McQueen Club from 3-7 pm.
