Diane (Crosby) Denny, age 72, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 11, 2024.  She was born on June 10, 1951, in Butte, Montana to Francis L. and Ruth Crosby, the fourth of six children.  She grew up in Butte and attended local elementary schools and Butte High School.

Diane started her family in 1969 when she married her best friend, Michael Lynn Denny.  They were childhood friends and first met around the age of seven.  Mike and Diane had four children who were raised in a selflessly loving home.  Diane loved to take care of others.  In addition to caring for her own children, she had a daycare in her home for several years.  She loved everyone, forgave abundantly, and laughed loudly.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Nathan; her sisters, Nancy Daly and Sherry LeProwse; and her brother, Marvin Hansen.  Surviving family includes her husband, Mike Denny; her children, Cammie Denny-Johnson, Michael Denny, and Billie Denny-Bryd; eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother, Francis "Frank" Crosby; her sister, Mary Aschenbrenner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Southwest Community Hospital, Jessica Martin at the Ryder Foundation, and the St. James Healthcare staff, especially Emily and Tony.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel.
