It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darcy Ruth Woodring, who departed this life peacefully at home on September 13, 2026, following a valiant five-year battle with Guillain-Barré Syndrome and complications from Covid. Born on November 18, 1974, in Butte, Montana, Darcy was a beacon of light, love, and resilience to all who knew her.

Darcy was the beloved daughter of Alice Woodring and the late Kenneth Woodring. She was predeceased by her father, grandparents John Emmett & Ruth Jones, Lillian & Bob Larson, Marshall Woodring, and cousins Laura and Matt Caddy. She leaves behind her cherished children, Dylan and Connor Stucke, who were the very essence of her being. Darcy is also survived by her devoted siblings, Kim (Troy) and Bryan (Jennifer), and her adored nieces and nephews, Austin, Lydia, Layn, T.J., and Joscelyn, along with their families.

Her extended family includes aunts and uncles John, Barb, Jeanette, Keith, Danny and Terri, as well as cousins Jeff, Kevin, Kellie, Kristen, and Keith, all of whom were an integral part of her life. Darcy's circle of love was further enriched by the unwavering friendship of Mara and the Catlin family.

Darcy's academic journey was marked by her graduation from Butte High School in 1993, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Montana in 1998, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montana State University in 2003. Her professional life was dedicated to caring for others, as she held various roles at Providence/St. Patrick Hospital, including Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Manager in Inpatient Rehabilitation, and ICU Case Manager/Social Worker, with a focus on Oncology, Orthopedics, and Neurology. At Community Medical Center, she continued her compassionate work in RN Care Management. Darcy was deeply respected by her colleagues and peers for her dedication and compassion in the healthcare field.

Darcy's zest for life was evident in her love for the great outdoors. She cherished time spent with her children and found joy in camping with family and friends. The thrill of floating down rivers with her friends was one of her many adventurous pursuits. Her love for music was a constant companion, often enjoyed alongside a good book during moments of quiet respite.

Darcy was a beautiful, fun-loving, and free spirit whose laughter was contagious. Her compassionate nature and warm heart endeared her to everyone she met. Her children were her heart and soul, and she was deeply loved by many.

In memory of Darcy's giving spirit, the family kindly suggests donations be made to St. Judes in lieu of flowers. As we celebrate Darcy's remarkable life, we hold dear the memories and love she shared with all of us. She will forever remain in our hearts as a symbol of courage, love and joy.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Butte.
