Cynthia A. "Cindy" Micheletti passed-away at St. James Healthcare on February 28, 2022 surrounded by her Family.  Cindy was born to Harold and Peggie Simpson on December 11, 1952 in Loveland, Colorado.  She attended school in Loveland until her family moved to Butte in 1967, where she attended both East Junior High School and Butte High School.  She graduated from Butte High in 1971, and she was a member of the Butte High National Honor Society.  During her Senior Year at Butte High, she met the "Love of Her Life," David "Drew" Micheletti, and they were married on April 14, 1973 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Butte.  Cindy and Drew had 2 children, Antonia "Toni" and Dominic "Nico."

After graduating from High School, Cindy worked for the Montana Power Company and the U.S. Soil Conservation Service in Butte.  Cindy and Drew then moved to Bellevue, Washington, where Cindy worked for both the Internal Revenue Service and PACCAR, Inc.  They later lived in Great Falls, Montana; Lompoc, California; Escondido, California; and a second time in Great Falls before returning to Butte in 1990.  Cindy earned a Bachelor Degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Great Falls, as well as a Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Montana - Western.

Cindy and Drew raised Toni and Nico on Butte's Lower West Side.  During this time, Cindy served as a Volunteer and worked as a Full-Time Teacher at West Elementary School.  She also worked as a Substitute Teacher throughout the Butte School District, as well as serving as the Secretary-Treasurer for the Butte Tarpon Swim Team for several years.

After Toni and Nico left home, Cindy and Drew built their "Dream Home" at Georgetown Lake, where they spent 15 years enjoying skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, and ATVing, particularly with their Granddaughters Francesca and Alesandra.  Cindy also loved to attend the Plays at the Opera House in Phillipsburg.  She was very gifted with her hands, and she did all the Ceramic Tile work in her new Georgetown Lake Home.  She was also well known throughout Southwestern Montana for her outstanding Arts and Crafts work.  Cindy was diagnosed with Advanced Cancer in February 2018, and she and Drew moved back into Butte in January 2021 to be closer to their Children and Grandchildren.

Cindy was preceded in death by her Parents Harold and Peggie Simpson, as well as her Brother Kent Simpson.  She is survived by her Husband of almost 49 years David Micheletti of Butte; Daughter Antonia (Lawrence) Marquez of Butte; Son Dominic (Meghan) Micheletti of Butte; Brother David Simpson of Loveland, Colorado; and Sister Karen Simpson of Helena, Montana.  She's also survived by her 4 Grandchildren Francesca Marquez, Alesandra Marquez, Camila Marquez, and Luca Micheletti.

Visitation with Cindy's family is scheduled for 12:00 PM on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Holy Spirt Catholic Church followed by Mass at 1:00 PM.  Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately following Mass.  The family requests that Donations be made to the Butte Emergency Food Bank or another Charity of Choice.
