Our beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, Cynthia Jean "Cindy" Burt passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 12, 2024, at St. James Healthcare in Butte, Montana.  Cindy was born October 22, 1959, in Butte, to Victor and Margaret "Peggy" Burt.  She graduated from Butte High School in 1978 and spent her entire life living and working in Butte.

Cindy's greatest joy in life was her son, Colter, and granddaughter, Elly.  She was the kind of sister, mother, and grandmother all other women aspire to be like.  From making scrapbooks, decorating, and any extracurricular activities, she never missed a beat and always found a way to provide, no matter how big the task.  If you knew Cindy, you knew she loved to decorate for, and celebrate, every holiday.  She loved making every holiday special, especially for Colter and Elly.  Being surrounded by family and creating special memories was her specialty.  Although she is no longer with us, she will certainly live on in all of our hearts.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tom Burt; and sister, Mary Burt.  She is survived by her beloved son, Colter, and granddaughter, Elly.  She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Connie Burt, Pat and Sue Burt, and Gary and Melissa Burt, all of Butte; sisters and brother-in-law, Vicki and Dean Mertes of Great Falls, Montana, and Sharon Burt of East Helena, Montana; aunt, Kay Duncan, and numerous other aunts, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Cindy's life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Butte Country Club.  Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
