On December 27th, 2019, Colten John Mitchell Spindler, a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, and friend, passed away at the age of 19. Colten was born on March 20, 2000 in Butte, Montana to Corey and Londa (Lean) Spindler.

Anyone that knew Colten knew he had a strong passion for camping, hunting and fishing with his friends and family, but most importantly with his dad, Corey. When Colten wasn't working, he enjoyed being with his friends and loved listening to music.

If you ever got the opportunity to meet Colten, you probably saw his shy smile come out. If were able to get to know him, you saw that shy smile turn into an infectious laugh. Colten had a special sense of humor and loved telling jokes. He always lit up any room that he walked into. His smile was contagious and will never be forgotten. Colten had a warm loving heart and loved his family. Heaven now has a very special angel.

Colten will be fondly remembered by all that crossed his path. His cousin Savanna tenderly writes "Colten was my best buddy at Truzzolino's. We worked hard together, and we laughed and joked together. Colten's smile brightened everyone's day. I love you and will miss you little buddy."

Colten is survived by his parents, Corey and Londa Spindler; sisters: Ashley Matteson and Kaylin Spindler; Brother-in-law, Nathan Matteson, grandparents including maternal grandfather, Jack Lean, maternal grandmother Jann Bartzen, uncles and aunts including, John and Janel Truzzolino, Shaun and Candi Holm, Gina Brulla, and Chad Spindler; niece, Embry Matteson; cousins Savanna Truzzolino, Taylor Stafford, and Jackson Holm, as well as numerous others; and several close friends including CJ and Jake Pickett.

Colten is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mitch and Cheryl (Starin) Spindler, his paternal great grandparents Jack and Willene Starin, and his maternal great grandparents Louie and Anita Herron.

Services will be on Thursday January 2nd, 2020 beginning with visitation at 10:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am. There will be a reception following in which all are invited to attend. Details will be given after services.
