Christopher Cassidy (70) passed away August 7, 2024 at St. James Healthcare following a battle with cancer.

Chris was the youngest child of Peter and Marie Cassidy and lived his life in their home on the flats.

He worked at the Pit for the Anaconda Company and with the Butte Silver Bow sidewalk crew. He installed the track at East Junior High making friends from all over the world. He and his brothers Tom and Pete spent meaningful time working at a family ranch in Avon, MT and he was an excellent salesman for Mason Shoes.

Chris was known for his quick wit and humor and it was his way he connected in relationships. He was an encyclopedia for random sports trivia and could pull stats out of his brain for every sport and every year. He was a "foodie" of his own kind and loved tacos, cheeseburgers, popcorn, pasties, and meatballs. He was truly a kind-hearted, giving person who found satisfaction in simple things such as his yard, family, and friendships. All kids and dogs loved him, which is the true test of a good human. He will be remembered and missed as a gentle soul.

He is preceded in death by his father, Pete, mother Marie, sister Patty and sister-in-law Joanie.

Chris is survived by his partner in life, Dee Dee Davidson, his brothers Pete and Tommy Cassidy, and nephews and niece Jeff, Josh, and Molly Kreyssler.

Friends may call on Monday after 10:00 am in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel.  Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
