Christina Patritti, known affectionately as Chris/Chrissy, passed away peacefully on May 17th at the remarkable age of 102. Self-described as bull-headed and feisty until the end, she faced every challenge life threw at her with grace and dignity-always standing firmly by her values, beliefs, and compassion for others.

Chris was the true matriarch of her family whose passing has left a huge hole in our hearts. She was our anchor and our proudest supporter. She lived a simple but extraordinary life defined by resilience and a fierce love for others. As the matriarch, Chrissy often brought family together around the table, creating memories over meals, coffee, and tea that will be cherished forever. Though distance separated her from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her love was always proudly displayed in her home and felt deeply through every phone call, card, and milestone celebrated from afar.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Patrick, her beautiful daughter, Patricia Ahrens. Chris fondly described Pat and Patsy as "two peas in a pod," and her family takes great comfort in knowing she is now peacefully reunited with them. She is also preceded in death by five of her siblings: Mercedes "Mere" McChesney, Sue "Susie" Fagliano, Vinnie Peel, Al "Bobo" Vega, Don "Donnie" Vega; and the many other loved ones who passed before her.

Her legacy of strength, independent spirit, and warmth will be forever celebrated and carried on by her surviving family: her devoted son James "J.D." Patritti, who was by her side throughout her life; her siblings: Theresa "Peachy" Olson, Liz Simonich, Ken Vega, and Tom Pat Vega; her son-in-law: Larry Ahrens; her grandchildren: Teresa Ahrens, Pat (N.J.) Ahrens, and Dianna (Dave) Winter; and her great-grandchildren: Mark & Kristen Ahrens, Alan & Erik Winter; as well as the many family and friends who loved her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 26th at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church (329 W Mercury St, Butte, MT).

Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate her life, share memories, and enjoy light refreshments at Perkins (2900 Harrison Ave, Butte, MT) from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
