Charles Edward "Charlie" Thompson, age 49, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at St. Peter's Healthcare in Helena, Montana with his sister by his side.  Charlie was born on March 24, 1975, in Butte,  Montana to Charles and Carol (Zitting) Thompson.  He attended local grade schools and graduated from Abraham Lincoln Alternative School in 1995.

Charlie had a huge love of music and was always down for a fun time, with a huge infectious smile on his face, until someone pushed him.  Then, watch out!  Charlie stayed true to himself and did not care what anyone thought Charlie was known by many names: Chow, Chuck, Chong, Chicken Chow Mein, and so many others.  He was the hardest work anyone had ever seen.  He will be missed by so many.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carol Thompson; and several aunts, uncles, and friends.  He is survived by his sister, Chrissy (Derrick) Cowan; son, Bryce Whittaker; uncles, Bob Thompson, Pete Kingsbury, and Ken Zitting; neices, Kayle Reighard and Kelsey Reighard; nephews, Kaden Reighard and Brody Cowan; and numerous longtime friends.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
