Mr. Charles Russell Fournier passed away early Saturday morning at St. James Healthcare in Butte, Montana.  Charles was born in Butte, Montana on June 15, 1937, to Steven and Christina (Vukovich) Fournier.

Charles attended local schools and graduated from Butte High School.  He was a Navy Veteran and served his time in San Diego, California.  He met the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Byrne.  They were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in 1958.  They made their home in Butte and raised two sons, Charles and Joseph, in whom they took great pride.  They spent their weekends as a family, boating and fishing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.  Chuck and Betty traveled the East and West Coast, and Texas, visiting relatives.  Chuck was an avid golfer.  His brother, Ron, and special friends continued to play for many years.  Chuck owned and operated Greenwood Printers in Butte.  Together with Elizabeth, he began the restaurant business known as the Roadrunner, which they ran successfully for 23 years.    They were well known for their fish, spaghetti, pork chop sandwiches, and chicken dinners.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Fournier; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Michael and Tammy Fournier; grandson, Charles Philip Fournier and his wife, Brittanie; and his great-grandsons, Xander and Barrett Fournier.  Chuck is also survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Ron and Betty Fournier, and Steve Fournier.  He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Fournier; parents, Steven and Christina Fournier; and sisters, Annette Sammons and Stella Gleason.

Friends may call on Friday after 10:00 am in St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  A further celebration of Chuck's life will take place following graveside services.
