Catherine Colleen Christine (Sheehan) McDonald passed away on March 4, 2025 after two courageous battles with cancer, at the age of 83, with her adored family at her bedside. Colleen is survived by her children: John (Shelley) McDonald, Mary (Steve) Antonich, Kathy (Bill) Sampson, Ed McDonald, Tom (Colleen) McDonald, and Rayellen  (Rich) Johnson. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born on June 21, 1941 in Butte, MT, to Edward and Marguerite Sheehan. Colleen attended Sacred Hearth, Grant and graduated from Girls Central Highschool in 1959. She was involved in many clubs including pep twirling, speech, and sodality. Colleen worked hard throughout her lifetime, enjoying being a certified nursing assistant, cashier, bookkeeper and janitor. Her most treasured achievement was being a mother to her six children.

Colleen's children and grandchildren occupied the majority of her years. The many birthdays, holidays, events and activities provided her with ample opportunities to never be too old to dress up and laugh at herself and enjoy others. She could hardly wait for the next time to celebrate with her family. Colleen was a devout Catholic, attending Mass and raising her children at St. Patrick's church. Colleen gave faithfully to St Jude's Children Hospital and Shriners International. She enjoyed belonging to her Butte Girls's Club and TOPS. Colleen loved to travel. She was so fortunate to have her precious daughter Rayellen shower her with beautiful trips to Seattle, WA and Alaska. She loved when her son, Ed, would return home in his Navy Whites and sailor hat.

Colleen is preceded in death by her mother and father, Edward and Marguerite Sheehan, her brother John "Jackie," her sisters Claire, Hazel, and Margie and her nephew Pat.

We would like to thank Rayellen and Rich Johnson for all their kindness and support given to our mother throughout her life. We will be forever in their debt. Special thanks to Gwen Fisher for always being a wonderful friend and making Colleen's birthdays special.

There will be a visitation and vigil on March 14 from 3pm - 5pm at Duggan Dolan Mortuary.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 am, Saturday, March 15 in St. Patrick's Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Rite of Commital will be held at a future date.
