Cassandra M. Godbout-Johnson passed away on June 26, 2022, after a brief illness.  She was born on November 21, 1952, to Fred and Sara (McLaughlin) Godbout, in Butte, Montana.

Cassandra attended the Immaculate Conception Parochial School and Butte Central High School.  She also attended the Butte Academy of Beauty Culture and the Butte Business College.  She spent over 30 years in the accounting field.

Cassandra was an avid seamstress.  She made beautiful dolls and Teddy bears.  She also designed and created quilts and blankets.  Cassandra was also a wonderful cook.  She loved to make and can jams and jellies for the Farmers Market.  Her hobbies included arts and crafts, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, trap shooting, and surfing the internet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mickey; sister, Kathy Schmidt; uncles, Mickey, Bill and Jack McLaughlin, and Dan Murphy; and aunts, Delores McLaughlin, Mary Murphy, and Rita Casagranda, with whom she was very close.   She is survived by her sisters, Sara Sparks and Pat Godbout; brother, Fred Godbout; nephews, Chris Stamper, Jason Elich, Lance (Lacy) Schmidt, Lane Schmidt, and Joree (Roxan Spolar) Weinstock; nieces, Trista Schmidt, and Shelly DeVoe; aunts, Betty McLaughlin and Judie McLaughlin; and numerous cousins.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff of St. James I.C.U.  A special thanks to Judy and Bill Lobb, Norm and Tammy Casagranda, and Rite and Kerry Wakeman for always being there for her.  Cremation has taken place and private services will be held at a later date.
