Benjamin Thomas Bouley passed away at his home on November 2nd, 2023. He was born on August 13th, 1938, in Helena, Montana to Elmer W. Bouley and Minnie H. Holland Bouley. Sometime afterwards his father's job moved the young family to Butte, Montana. Soon after they welcomed a baby sister to the family- Barbara. The family was raised at the 2112 Lowell Avenue home. Ben graduated from Boy's Central High School in 1958. He married Dorothy Konda and in August of 1958 joined the United States Navy Reserve. At the rank of (E-3) seaman he was activated to full duty and moved to San Diego, California to be stationed at the Nuclear Weapons Training Center, Pacific. He rose to the rank and rate of (MM3) Machinist Mate 3rd class. A son-Tony was born to this marriage. They later divorced. Upon his discharge from active-duty Ben moved to Seattle, Washington and worked for Boeing Aviation for a short period of time. He then moved back to Butte, Montana and he later met Carol J. Herrly at the Donna Bell Drive-in. He became a Boilermaker and was very proud of his craft and being a Union Member. In the early 80's he took lessons at Bert Mooney Aviation and became a private pilot. Ben worked for the Anaconda Copper Company- "the concentrator" for 21 years when they closed in 1983.  Shortly after this, Ben and Carol decided to purchase a restaurant- Carol's Coffee Cup Café. They later moved to a larger place the Pub-n-Grub and renamed it- "The Chaparral." When that business closed, they purchased- "Thor's Port of Call."

Carol Passed away on February 11th, 2022, and they had been married for 59 years. Ben and Carol had three children- Benjamin, Michelle, and Brian. They were all raised in Butte near the East Junior High School.

Ben was preceded in death by his wife- Carol, daughter- Michelle, son-Brian, sister- Barbara, nephew- Mike, and other dear relatives.

He is survived by son-Tony, son-Ben (Karen), granddaughters- Alyssa, Shelby, and Erynne, granddaughter- Breanna (Mike), grandson- Wade and niece- Robin.

Friends are asked to join the family at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Thursday, November 9th, 2023, at 10 am for visitation followed by the funeral mass at 11 am. A burial will take place directly after the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Chelsea Bailey animal Shelter or the donor's choice.
