Barbara Bugni

Barbara Bugni passed away Tuesday morning at her home in Butte, Montana. She was born to Walter and Helen (Morris) Clark in Butte, Montana. She was the youngest of four children. Barb attended school at Rocker and Kennedy elementary schools and Butte High School.

Barb loved growing up in Browns Gulch. Once fishing season started, Barb went fishing with her family every weekend. She enjoyed frequent family picnics at the Big Hole River. Virginia City was one of Barb's favorite places. At age 14, she got her first job at the Virginia City ice cream parlor.

She married Charlie Bugni. Together they supported seven children. Everyone was welcome at Barb's house and at her table. She was always known to have an extra kid or two at dinner.  She enjoyed coaching volleyball, being a 4H leader, and attending all her kids' sporting events.

Barb's work ethic was unmatched. In her early teens, she started working at Martha's Café. She later worked at the M&M, the Winter Garden, the Flying J, CCCS, and Big Sky Senior Living. Barb loved to work, especially at Big Sky Senior Living where she enjoyed socializing with the residents and her coworkers.

Barb was a gifted artist. She  created beautiful ceramic pieces and owned a ceramic store in Butte. Barb liked to bowl and participated in bowling leagues. She enjoyed golfing with her sister Virginia at Fairmont.

Outside of being a mother, Barb's favorite job was being a grandma. She loved to take her grandkids fishing, to Virginia City, and to Yellowstone. Barb would bake each of them their favorite sweet treats. She never missed any sporting event or dance recital. Barb made each holiday extra special by cooking the best meals and making the most impressive decorations.

Barb adored living at Meadowlands Apartments. She had so many friends that she loved to play cards and dice with. She enjoyed monthly dinners out, planning and cooking for potlucks, and decorating for the holidays.

Barb made sure everyone was cared for.  She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her grandma Clara Morris; parents Walter and Helen (Morris) Clark; her sister Nancy Barry; her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Barb Clark; her husband Charlie Bugni; stepson Freddy Bugni; in-laws, Fran and John Corcoran and Louis and Dorothy Bugni; cousin Kathleen Norton-Keene; her beloved, best friend Sadie, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

She is survived by her sister Virginia Clark; son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Mary Bugni; daughter Teri Bugni; son CJ Bugni; and daughter Dawn Bugni; her stepson John Bugni; stepdaughter Maria Bugni Dalbec; her grandchildren: Whitney, Bucky, and Jeffery Bugni; Zach Bugni; Chance and Imagine Warner; Hunter and Makayla Bugni; Taylor and Anthony Felton; Cade and Kyle Holter;  her nephews Kahl Clark; Danny and Chuck Woods; Rick (Elizabeth) Joseph; niece Erin (Mick) Wonnacott; cousin Jim Norton, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

Barb's family would like extend their sincerest gratitude to Meadowlands Apartments, St. James Healthcare, the Southwest Montana Veteran's Home, Crest Nursing Home, and Enhabit Home Health and Hospice for their outstanding care of Barb.

A memorial luncheon will be held at Star Lanes Family Sports Center Dining Room on Saturday, November 5 ^th at 1:00 P.M.
