Beloved Wife, Mom and Oma, Anny VanMeel died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 14, 2024 at the age of 93.

Anny was born on April 29, 1931, to Marinus and Rosa Van Laar in Kerkrade Holland.

In 1954, Anny married the love of her life, Bert VanMeel.  In 1958, Bert, Annie and their first born child, Jackie, traveled from Holland to Butte where they began their lives together in the United States of America.

As a young girl, Anny found what would be her lifelong passion of being a seamstress.  In her early 20's she became the supervisor of a shoe factory managing the work of roughly 400 employees who had great respect for Anny's sewing abilities and leadership.  Once in the US, Anny continued to pursue her passion of sewing and ultimately owned and operated a small shop in uptown Butte called the Lingerie Boutique where she designed and made night ware, undergarments and beautiful baby quilts.

Anny was a very kindhearted individual always seeing the best in people and very lighthearted with her great sense of humor.  If she could make someone laugh, she was delighted.  In her latter years, Anny touched many many people that had the fortune of taking care of her.

Anny was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  Anny is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Terry Sims; grandchildren Paul and Joyce VanMeel, Tom VanMeel, Cole Sims, Ashley and Clayton Eskridge, Allysia and James Wilson, and Jeramie and Teagan Sims; great-grandchildren Baylee and Reese Alexander, Jack Wilson, Braxten and Courtlyn Wilson, Nevaeh, Josiah and Elijah Sims, Maverick Eskridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Senior Solutions Home Care and Hospice.  A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date.
