In the early hours of April 30th, 2024 Ann Marie (Govednik) Hudson passed suddenly but peacefully in her sleep at her home in Butte. Ann was 70 years old.

Ann Marie was born in Butte, Montana to Alouis and Irene Govednik on August 4th, 1953. She attended Holy Savior Parochial  School, and graduated from Butte Central in 1972. She enjoyed the famous Columbia Gardens and McQueen neighborhood with her family for many years, before moving to Chicago to start a family of her own.

Ann was a social butterfly and the life of the party wherever she went. While she had many hobbies and interests such as crafting, traveling, and reading, Ann loved nothing more than being with her family. A devoted mother, nothing put a bigger smile on Ann's face than spending time with her daughters; taking long drives to scenic picnics, going to Disney World and Las Vegas together, and endless hours of laughing and talking.

Ann Marie is proceeded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hudson, her sister Irene (Govednik) Strubeck, her parents Alouis "Louie" Govednik  and Irene "Rena" (Spear) Govednik, as well as many treasured cousins, aunts and uncles. She is survived by her daughters, Lauren Hudson and Leigh Anna (Patrick) McKenna, her niece and nephew Michelle Strubeck and Eric Strubeck, and many beloved cousins.

Services will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Monday May 13th at 11am. A visitation will precede at 10am for friends and family at the church. Internment will follow immediately after mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends and family are then invited to a luncheon at Rib and Chop House.
