Amy Emma Hopewell, 91, [assed away at Big Sky Senior Living on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, after a long, and courageous, battle with Alzheimer's disease. Amy was born on February 17, 1926, in Harlowtown, Montana, to Bulgarian immigrants, Peter and Bojanna Nedoff.

Amy moved to Butte, Montana as a young child and spent the rest of her life in Butte. She graduated from Butte High School in 1943 and worked various jobs until her marriage to Thomas Hopewell in 1947. Their marriage was blessed with three sons; Bob, Gary, and Jim. She worked for many years at F.W. Woolworth's. She worked for Woolworth's until her retirement when the store closed in Butte.

Amy enjoyed walking, gardening, keeping a meticulous home, and cooking. Her pasties and Apple pie will be sadly missed.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas, in 1999; her grandsons, Ryan and Justin Hopewell; and her in-laws, Thomas and Edith Hopewell.

Surviving, are sons, Bob (Debra), Gary (Amy), and Jim; grandchildren, Jeff (Melissa), Kimberly (Michael), Kelsey, Sean (Shannon), Cody, Kala, Adam, Jory, Konner, and Trevor; great grandchildren; Ryleigh and Mckinleigh Doherty, and Isabella Hopewell. Also surviving are longtime special friends, Al and Barbara Harwood.

Special thanks are extended to the staff at Big Sky Senior Living, and Frontier Hospice, for the wonderful care she received.

At her request, cremation has taken place. Private services will be conducted at Mountain View Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in Amy's memory are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation, or the charity of the donor's choice. Duggan Dolan Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
