Mrs. Adella Ann Knievel passed away on November 21, 2023. at the Springs of Butte, a long-term care and rehabilitation facility in Butte, Montana.  Adella was born on April 18, 1938, in Sebeka, Minnesota, the 8th of 10 children born to Joseph and Katherine (Schmising) Ament.

Adella lived in Minnesota until 1948, when her family relocated to Northern Idaho.  In 1954, the family moved to Caldwell, Idaho, where she graduated from Caldwell High School in 1955.  After spending a year in California, she arrived in Butte, Montana in 1957.  She was employed as a secretary while living with her older sister and brother-in-law, Dotty and Don Quale.

In 1959, on a blind date, she met Don Knievel.  After a whirlwind romance that lasted for 3 months, the couple were married. Over the following years they were blessed with 3 children; Dana, Marci, and Greg.  She also gave birth to an infant daughter that passed away in 1961.

Along with her family and friends, golf was a passion of Adella's.  She enjoyed many triumphs throughout the years and was a longtime member of the Butte Country Club Women's Golf Association. She also enjoyed bridge, crocheting, embroidering, racquetball, camping, cribbage, and skiing.  She had a strong faith in Jesus and was an active member of Catholic Church.  She enjoyed spending time at Mass and with her women's scripture group every week.  Adella was also a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. She led a life of love and faith.  Adella cared for her family and friends with all her heart and was always willing to help when needed.

Adella was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Katherine Ament; her mother-law and father-in-law, Don and Naomi Knievel; brothers, Herb, Joe, Jim, and Richard Ament; sisters, Dotty Quale and Margaret Frey; her brother-in-law, Tom Otto; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ament and Sandy Knievel.

Adella led a full life and will be missed by her surviving family: husband. Don; children, Dana Knievel, Marci Robinson, and Greg Knievel; son-in-law, Chris Robinson; and her granddaughter, Rachel.  She is also survived by her sister, Mary Otto; brother, Walt Ament; her brother-in-law, Kurt Knievel; her sister-in-law, Becky Ament; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended relatives in both the Knievel and Ament families.

Friends may call on December 09, 2023 after 10:30 am in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  Private Rite of Committal will be held in the Columbarium of Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or the Beaverhead County Animal Shelter.
